Postpartum Depression

Some of the signs are obvious, some are not, a new mom can experience few or all the symptoms, some moms are debilitated while others seem to function normally.

Awareness is key, a community free of judgement is vital, knowing you’re not alone – game changer!

Do you know the signs?

EMOTIONAL

•feeling sad, hopeless, empty or overwhelmed

•crying more than usual or for no apparent reason

•feeling worried or over anxious

•restlessness or irritability

•anger or rage

•persistent doubt in you ability to care for your child

•thoughts of harming yourself or your child

PHYSICAL

•physical aches and pains

•changes in appetite

•lack of sleep or oversleeping

•difficultly concentrating

BEHAVIORAL

•loss of things that are usually enjoyable

•avoiding friends and family

•have trouble bonding or forming an emotional attachment with your baby.

There are many resources and until you reach out you may not recognize the desire others have to help.
